In the 2023/24 school year, the EDB will disburse a one-off grant of $300,000 to each public sector school and DSS school for promoting Chinese cultural experience activities. Schools can use this grant to organise various activities and projects related to Chinese culture on or before the 2026/27 school year, so as to assist schools in aligning with the curriculum, so that students can understand and inherit Chinese culture and further enhance their learning of Chinese culture.

Secondary School IT Innovation Laboratory
To deepen students' understanding of cutting-edge information technology, the IT Bureau launched the "Secondary School IT Innovation Laboratory" project in the 2020/21 school year. All publicly funded secondary schools in Hong Kong (including government, aided, special, subsidized, and direct subsidy schools) can apply for a maximum of HKD 1 million in funding over the three school years from 2020/21 to 2022/23. The aim is to establish a solid information technology foundation for young people at the secondary school stage.
