My Action Commitment Plan

Starting from the 2019/20 school year to the 2025/26 school year, the Education Bureau, through the Quality Education Fund, launched the "My Action Commitment" funding scheme. Each school can apply for a grant of no more than HKD 300,000 to promote national education, national security education, or media literacy education, creating a learning environment conducive to fostering positive values and attitudes.

Activity Type: (National Day Activity) Traditional Chinese Tie-Dye Craft Workshop Activity Description: Through instructors coming to school to conduct experiments with students, students will learn about traditional Chinese tie-dyeing on Science Activity Day. They will introduce young children to the craftsmanship of traditional Chinese tie-dyeing and create the Chinese national flag, integrating environmental protection and cultural history. By using eco-friendly methods, participants will learn about traditional Chinese techniques and understand the development of society and technology.

Activity Type: (National Day Activity) Traditional Chinese Shadow Puppet Craft Workshop Activity Description: Through instructors coming to school to conduct experiments with students, students will learn about traditional Chinese shadow puppetry through science activities. They will introduce young children to the craftsmanship of Chinese traditional shadow puppetry, creating shadow puppet works with Chinese characteristics. The activity integrates environmental protection and Chinese intangible cultural heritage. By preserving intangible heritage, participants will learn about traditional Chinese craftsmanship and understand the development of society and technology.

One-off Parent Education Subsidy Scheme - Overview

The Education Bureau will provide a one-off parent education subsidy of HKD 90,000 for each public primary school and Direct Subsidy Scheme primary school in the 2022/23 school year, to assist schools in launching systematic school-based parent education courses or activities. Schools can use this subsidy from the 2022/23 to 2025/26 school years to initiate and organize systematic parent education courses. Schools and teachers should learn from the process, develop school-based parent education resources, and establish a positive parent education culture.
